The Ferrari 250 GTO is a grand touring sports car produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964 for homologation into FIA Group 3. Designed by Giotto Bizzarrini and Sergio Scaglietti, the 250 GTO was designed to compete against cars such as the Shelby Cobra and Jaguar E-Type. Development of the car was spearheaded by Bizzarrini but he and numerous other engineers and designers were fired due to disagreements with Enzo Ferrari, with engineer Mauro Forghieri continuing development of the car's body alongside Scaglietti. The car is powered by a 3.0L Tipo 168/62 Colombo V12 mated to a 5-speed manual. A total of 36 chassis were produced (some sources say 39)
The Fiat 642 RN2 is a bus version of the Fiat 642 series of commercial vehicles, manufactured by Fiat Veicoli Industriali from 1952 to 1958. Apart from being used as buses, many chassis were also converted for other uses, such as race car transporters with custom bodies built by Italian coachbuilders. In 1957, Ferrari commissioned Carrozzeria Bartoletti of Forlì to have four existing Fiat chassis converted into race cars; three were converted from 642 RN2s, namely chassis numbers 002989, 003002 and a third truck with an unknown serial number, while the other, 001461, was converted from a 682 RN2. These were typically used to carry Scuderia Ferrari's race cars to and from events as well as transport bodies from Carrozzeria Scaglietti to Maranello for final assembly (002989 was not known to have carried car bodies, only being used to transport race cars). They were retired from use in 1968, with many sold off to other buyers; 002989 was the only to remain with Ferrari and was later seemingly abandoned. 002989 would be found in a shed in Cremona in 1988 in poor condition, where it was bought by American collector Richard Freshman and restored; it was then sold off in 1997 to Clive Beecham for $400,000 before being sold off again to German collector Fritz Grashei, who owns it today

Mattel's Hot Wheels Legacy
Founded in 1945, Mattel became a powerhouse in the toy industry, but it was in 1968 that the brand revolutionized the world of die-cast cars with the introduction of Hot Wheels. Created by Elliot Handler and his team, Hot Wheels cars were designed with sleek, custom designs and innovative features that appealed to both kids and collectors. The cars’ popularity skyrocketed, thanks to their high-performance wheels and exciting range of models.
