The Chevrolet Advance Design is a series of trucks manufactured by Chevrolet from 1947 to 1955. It was their first major redesign of truck after World War II with a sleeker design compared to the previous AK series of trucks. It was available in a number of different formats, such as pickup truck, cab over engine, station wagon and even SUV in the form of the Chevrolet Suburban. A highly successful design, Chevrolet trucks were the best selling trucks in the United States in all the years it was sold. The Advance Design line was replaced with the Task Force line in 1956
