First generation American-market variant of Isuzu's Compact pickup, the Isuzu Faster. The Faster was sold in North America as the Chevrolet LUV (which stands for Light Utility Vehicle). The LUV and its chief rival, the Datsun 620, both debuted in 1972 in both Japan and internationally.

LUV stands for Light Utility Vehicle and this souped-up, decked out version features an exposed engine, sun roof, and plenty of power.

***Trivia*** Technically, the Chevrolet LUV isn't a Chevrolet at all. They were rebadged Isuzu Fasters that GM sold in the Americas before developing compact pickups of their own. If you count it, this truck is one of only two Isuzu vehicles that Hot Wheels has ever released, the other being the 1999 Isuzu VehiCross.
